Holding On To Summer

With all the talk about Fall being right around the corner...
I can't help to keep holding on to summertime.
It's been such a wonderful season with all the beautiful color!
I don't want to let it go.
I enjoyed incorporating the different shades of lime green this year!
It all started with this little pineapple......
The fuchsia impatiens were my favorite this summer.
We used them on our front and back porch....

And just like that...
Another summer has come and gone!

Until Next Year!

"The grass withers, the flower fades.
When the breath of the LORD blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass."
Isaiah 40:7

A day with My Girls and Kate!

I had a great weekend spending time with my girls.
My sweet hubby went out of town on a fishing trip and that meant one thing.....SHOPPING!

Our day started out with lunch at The Pharmacy Burger Parlor,
voted the best burger in Nashville the past two years.
Then we stopped at Jenis Splendid Ice Creams...Instagram-ing  was a must!

After a yummy lunch we headed out.
Our mission...THE KATE SPADE Outlet grand opening!!!
An obsession we ALL share:)
We were in luck...
not only was the entire store 40% off it was Friends and Family day with an additional 25% too!
And there she was.......

Kate's Jules Newbury Lane Tote
What a wonderful treat from my girls....Happy Mother's Day to ME!
They had so many styles in lots of fabulous colors.
You know Kate....."Live Colorfully"
I SO wanted to live on the wild side and grab a green, pink or blue one but that's just not me!
SO I grab this precious pink key chain to give her a pop of color for spring and summer!
I decided it was time for a new wallet, especially with this awesome sale!
My girls convinced me to live on the I went with pink in the clutch wallet.
I figured I would branch out and accessorize with some color...
step out of my comfort zone!

I just love it.

This tote is's large enough to carry everything I could possibly need!
Here's what I've got in there...

1.  It's nice to have a small jewelry sache'
if you need to put your jewelry away to go for a walk or stop at the gym.
2.  My coupon organizer....I WILL NOT leave home without this.
Too much time invested in clipping these babies and time IS money right?
3.  Love these small cosmetic bags I snatch up with Clinque's "free gift with purchase".
It's the easiest way to keep your bag looking like new inside.
4.  IPad fits perfectly.
I don't always carry it with me but the room is there if I need it!
5.  Yep! That's it... Kate's  Newbury Lane Bougainvillea Clutch Wallet
In Precious in Pink I might add :)
6.  Phone...A MUST!

So ladies if you're looking for a fabulous new bag....check her out!

Bakers Rack Makeover

I've always used my Bakers Rack for simple decor
and displaying family photos....
I knew I wanted to do something different
and had been contemplating it for a while!

.......after hours on Pinterest and Houzz
(my, I need help with my decor GO TO)
I came up with this....
Found these treasures
at a really cool place in Franklin, TN called PeeDee.
Love adding this rustic looking latern
and my plant looks perfect in the metal tray!
It's Franklin's best kept secret store
.....there's no name on the building :)
And of course you can't forget Kirklands.....
they have the best deals ever. Especially when you use their SPIN to WIN App!
Can you believe I found this Latern
a few years ago
at Kroger Market Place?!?!?!
I LOVE the way it blends
with the brush gold accents  on the Bakers Rack!
and you know my love for China!!!
Lenox Butlers Pantry's still a work in progress!
I'm thinking of adding more greenery,
maybe some succulents!
I see they've become very popular
in the home decor department...
Pinterest / Houzz / Kirklands / HomeGoods ;)
Have a great weekend and stay warm......
Spring is just around the corner!

Psalms 30:5

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Good Morning!

So many of us start our day with a delicious cup of coffee....
I know I do
and Saturday mornings could even be a cup or two
maybe even three or four!
That was my "Coffee Station" inspiration....

loving my new coffee mug holder from Home Goods.....
and the beautiful mugs, Lenox Butler's Pantry! you are not at the Waffle House :)
but don't you love this sugar pourer?
I found it at Old Time Pottery years ago
and the coffee container is from Walmart!

Of course there's no better way to start your day
than with a word from our Lord and Savior!
One of my favorite scriptures and songs....
for those of you that remember
some good old gospel hymns:)

I love this gentle reminder every morning....
this IS the day which the LORD has made and
I WILL rejoice and be glad in it!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24

"My Newest Member"

As you already know,
I am a lover of fine china, crystal and silver.
With that being said let me introduce you
to my newest member of...
 "The Dining Room"
Isn't she lovely?
I found this beauty at an antique mall south of Nashville in Franklin,Tennessee.
Solid mahogany, made in 1946.
I decided to dress her up in with some crystal pieces
I had collected over the years.
A perfect Traditional addition!
Oh how I would love to know her story.
For some unknown reason,
she reminds me of my grandmother.
My dad, born and raised in South Carolina,
tells me the story of his father
taking my grandmother to Hickory, North Carolina
and purchasing furniture for their new home.
My grandmother selected all the furniture,
her dining room was solid mahogany.
I guess that's where I inherited my love
for traditional cherry and mahogany decor.
My fall addition this year...
very simple :)
and the picture front and center...
my precious girls.
It's my most treasured piece in my home.
Every time I take a glance...
it truly makes my heart smile!

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Matthew 5:8

A Fall Welcome

One of the best things about Fall and Christmas is dressing up my front entrance :)
I look so forward to seeing all the stores put out their mums, pumpkins and gourds...
then I know it's time!!!
This year I added some old corn crates that I found at our local farmers market, "Sunny Side".
I just LOVE lanterns!
and this road...
it always makes my heart smile :)
 why might you ask..
it leads me back to my favorite place.
 There's No Place Like Home!!!

"Satisfy us in the morning
with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days."
Psalms 90:14

I love decorating my home for the different seasons.
Fall has to be my favorite.
The simple touches of fall brought indoors
brings such a warm and cozy feel.
So excited to introduce the newest addition...
My Fall Mantel

Some branches from outdoors fill my urn...
a simple fall touch

Can you say "pumpkin love"
Yep!  At least one on every table :)
And lets not forget the breakfast room!

My Mantel...
Just another simple reminder of how truly Blessed I am
in so MANY areas of my life.

Blessed are those who observe justice and who do right and are in right standing with God at all times.
Psalm 106:3
